Hello fellow Philanthropists! Thank you for joining SYPA. I'm sure you are still wondering "Now, what is this?" Well, let me tell you what we are about and what is happening.
WHAT
SYPA is intended to be a collective association for people who value the community around them and support it through charitable giving, volunteering and leadership. Its purpose is to promote the next generation of philanthropists. We will strive to show philanthropy as a way of life, and not just for the elite few.
WHO
First, who is a Philanthropist? It is someone who demonstrates goodwill to fellowmen; especially with an active effort to promote human welfare. SYPA's mission is to promote philanthropy within the 21-40 age group, a group that is believed by some to be dormant in philanthropy. If you dont fit the age group, don't worry, we love supporters and mentors!
MEMBERSHIP
We are looking for Greater Seattle residents 21-40 who can show their financial or time contributions to registered charitable organizations. In the future, different levels of membership will be based on the amount of contributions and will have different levels of recognition.
GET INVOLVED
As we are starting, we will need a committed and passionate group of people to kick things off. If you are interested in joining the Board of Directors, please email a brief statement to seattleYPA@gmail.com.
